ARK News… Demonstrations demanding the overthrow of the Syrian regime continue in Suwayda Governorate, southern Syria, for the eleventh week in a row and are expanding to include all groups in the city and its countryside.

On the eighty-fifth day, today, Friday, November 10, 2023, large crowds from various regions of Suwayda flocked to Karama Square in the center of the city, to participate in the central demonstration calling for the overthrow of the ruling regime and political change.

The health sector gathering delegation, which includes a large group of doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other health sector workers, arrived at Karama Square to participate in the demonstration, chanting slogans demanding political change.

Delegations representing the cultural and scientific elites arrived, carrying slogans demanding political change.

The demonstrators carried banners that read: “2254,” “Independence begins with the exit of the Iranian occupation,” and “Revolution until victory.”

Dozens of Suwayda youth closed the building of the Baath Party branch in the city of Suwayda with burning tires for the second time, after closing it late last August.

Demonstrations began in Suwayda and the surrounding towns last August, against the deteriorating economic conditions, and then the level of demands rose to demanding the departure of the Assad regime, the implementation of UN Resolution 2254, and the release of detainees.
