Erbil and the state of Nashville "Little Kurdistan" sign the twinning agreement

ARK News… Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw, Nashville Mayor John Cooper, and a number of political figures from the Kurdistan Region, the United States of America, and the Kurdish community officially signed a twinning agreement between Erbil and Nashville, on Saturday.

Nabaz Abdul Hamid, Mayor of Erbil, said that the signing of this agreement is a historic day, and is the result of more than nine years of continuous work.

Omid Khoshnaw, who is currently visiting the American city of Nashville, said after his meeting with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, that an American trade delegation will visit the Kurdistan Region in the near future.

Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw and his accompanying delegation arrived on Tuesday in the city of Nashville, Tennessee, to participate in the signing ceremony of the twinning agreement between Erbil and Nashville.

The announcement of twinning between Erbil and Nashville was the result of 3 years of study, through successive visits conducted by delegations in the city of Nashville to closely examine the situation in Erbil in all aspects.

Nashville is described as Little Kurdistan, due to the presence of a large number of members of the Kurdish community in it, and it has become the focus of attention of officials in Erbil, to benefit from the development in that city.
