PKK Kidnaps Two Peshmerga Officers near Sinjar
Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) fighters on Monday kidnapped two Peshmerga officers on a road between Khana Sor and Bare village, near Sinjar.
A Peshmerga official told Kurdistan 24 that officer Fero Mirza Osman and officer Badal Amin Osman were stopped at a PKK checkpoint at around 06:00 am local time and immediately taken to an unknown location.
The father of one of the abductees said they had met with the PKK commanders in the region, but he denied that they have kidnapped the two men.
“We have eyewitnesses who saw the PKK forces taking the two officers away. We shall resort to other options if they refuse to free them,” he added.
