America warns of Russian practices in Syria
ARK News… The US Department of Defense warned that Russian practices in Syria "violate pre-agreed restrictions," noting that Russian planes approached "unsafely and unprofessionally" US planes seven times last August.
In a press conference, the Pentagon's press secretary, Pat Ryder, said that "Russian fighter jets approached US F-35 fighter jets and other aircraft of the international coalition over Syria on seven occasions during the month of August, and in several cases, they flew within 1,000 feet."
"The actions of the Russian planes were unsafe and unprofessional," Ryder said, adding that the Russian fighters "flew in aggressive maneuvers, many of which were at a distance of 1,000 feet, the last of which was on August 25."
The US official pointed out that the Russian practices "violate the restrictions previously agreed upon between the two countries, increase the risk of miscalculation, and do not reflect the behavior expected of a professional air force," calling on Russia to "stop these reckless practices."
