Al-Amshat group arrests Kurdish citizen in Shiye town

ARK News: Al-Amshat group belonging to Liwaa Sultan Murad Shah arrested a Kurdish civilian in Shiye town of Afrin Kurdistan, Syria and asked him $ 10,000 for his release after being subjected to severe torture and his fate is still unknown.

A special source from Shiye town reported to ARK News that “militias belonging to the Amshat group of Liwaa Sultan Murad Shah on Wednesday 31/10/2018 arrested the Kurdish citizen, Hussein Mohammed Khalil, nicknamed "Amme" in Shiye town and taken to an unknown destination, and that the group demanded a ransom of $ 10,000 for his release after he was being subjected to severe torture and his fate is still unknown.”

According to the same source, Hussein Khalil was once arrested by the Syrian regime and again by the PYD militants, and this time he was arrested by the Amshat armed group. Hussein comes from respected and national family and is a peaceful citizen who does not interfere with the affairs of others. So he was arrested only for ransom or forced him to leave his home and fight for his livelihood.

It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish factions, which participated in the occupation of Afrin city, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its rural, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops, the seizure of property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments which lead to the change of Afrin’s region demography.
