ARK News: US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the truce in northern Syria is holding despite some minor breaches, a day before the truce expires. Adding that he does not want to threaten Turkey with sanctions if it does not abide by the agreement because he believes they will abide by.

He added: "If Turkey behaves the wrong way, the United States will impose tariffs on its products and sanctions."

Trump told reporters at the White House during a meeting of his administration that the United States has never made any commitment to the Kurds to stay in the region "400 years" to protect them, adding that he does not want to remain US troops in Syria.

Trump added that a limited number of US troops would remain in Syria, some on the border with Jordan, while others were protecting oil fields.
