Afrin .. Deliberate fires in the forests of Mahmudiya and Karsan
ARK News: Deliberate fires which ignited by armed groups devoured the forests of Afrin city which overlooking the Zidia and Mahmudiya neighborhoods and the forest which leads to the Ain Dara road known as the Karsan forests.
A private source from the Kurdish Afrin city told the ARK media that “large fires devoured Yesterday 19/10/2018 the cypress and pine trees in the forests which overlooking of Mahmudiya neighborhood and forests known as Karsan near the cemetery.”
The source added that "the firesI stayed burning for about eight hours and devoured large areas of the two forests and that the competent authorities in Afrin city did nothing to extinguish them.”
It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish army factions, which participated in the occupation of Afrin city, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its countryside, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops and forests, the seizure of property of Kurdish civilians, and the destruction of monuments and religious.
