The theft of olive press equipment which worth 60 million SP in rural Afrin
ARK News: A group of thieves robbed equipment of an olive press in Sanara village belonging to Shiye town of Afrin Kurdistan.
A special source from Shiye town said to ARK News that “a group of thieves two days ago robbed equipment for an olive press belonging to Hussein Agha’s children in the village of Sanara belonging to Shiye town.”
According to the same source, “the equipment of the olive press is estimated at 60 million Syrian pounds and during reviewing the owners of the olive press to the armed faction who controlling the town and the village they indicated that they had no information about the theft and a dispute between the family and the armed faction happened for that reason.”
He added that despite the promises made by the Turkish official assigned by the Turkish government to Afrin ( Afrin governor) to open an investigation into the operation, but there is disregard by the armed faction who controlling Shiye town and the mentioned family is in a state of alert note that the family is not affiliated with the Democratic Union Party, and they are against Syrian regime and PKK.
Shiye town and its villages are controlled by the Al -Amshat faction of pro-Turkish armed factions in Afrin region.
