ARK News: The official in charge of humanitarian affairs in the province of Duhok in the Kurdistan region announced on Thursday 17.10.2019 the arrival of a new batch of refugees from Syrian Kurdistan as a result of the Turkish military operation in Syrian Kurdistan.

In a statement to "BasNews" the media official for humanitarian affairs in the province of Duhok Salem Sayed announced the arrival of a new batch of 600 refugees from Syrian Kurdistan to the border point in the Kurdistan Region, and "that after the completion of the necessary procedures will be transferred to Bardarash camp, which belongs to the province of Duhok.

Salem said that "so far the number of refugees reached 1600 refugees, were in the first days of the start of the Turkish military operation in Kurdistan Syria arrived 180 refugees, Wednesday 820 refugees, and Thursday 600 refugees.

"With the support of the Barzani charity and their organizations, the refugees are being transferred to Bardarash camp and securing what is needed for them," he said.

The humanitarian official said that since the beginning of the Turkish operation in Syrian Kurdistan, with the participation of the concerned institutions and organizations, they are working to take the necessary measures to receive the refugees, calling on the international community and all countries and humanitarian organizations to help the refugees.
