Erdogan: Preparations for the establishment of the safe zone are on schedule
ARK News: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the preparations of Turkey and the United States to establish a "safe area" for refugees in Syrian Kurdistan are proceeding according to schedule.
NTV television quoted Erdogan as telling reporters on a return trip from the UN General Assembly in New York that efforts were on schedule. All our preparations along the border have also been completed.
"Upon returning (to Turkey), we will assess ... regarding steps which should be taken and implemented”, he added.
Erdogan said on Friday that he and Trump had made a phone call last week instead of that and met at a reception in New York on Wednesday, but gave no details.
