ARK News: Despite abundant winter rains and storage, the city of Qamishlo suffers from water scarcity amid high temperatures.

According to a local source from Qamishlo said that the water shortage crisis in Qamishlo is on the rise, and the city has been suffering from water scarcity for more than three days, and a state of resentment is sweeping the city, and people head to the owners of the tanks to provide drinking water for themselves and for their homes.

The local source confirmed that the owners of tanks sell per barrel for (300-400) Syrian pounds, and this is what many low-income citizens cannot afford.

The voices of the residents raised demanding the PYD administration to hand over the institution to a Body capable of providing water, "as long as the PYD is unable to provide drinking water to the city, let them handing over the water institution to someone who can supply it."
