Ship Traffic Through Strait of Hormuz Continues to Decline Amid U.S.-Iran Escalation
ARK News.. Commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz continues to decline as security concerns persist amid the ongoing military confrontation between the United States and Iran.
According to Reuters, data from shipping analytics firm Kpler showed that only three cargo vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz during the latest reporting period.
The data indicated that the general cargo vessel Kaiser exited the strait carrying cargo, while the dry bulk carrier H7 SMB 8 entered the waterway empty, indicating it is expected to load cargo in the Gulf.
Kepler also reported that the vessel Hsien Ocean entered the strait on the previous day carrying refined palm oil.
The report noted that no Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) or liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers were observed transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
