European Union Reaffirms Commitment to Strengthening Ties with the Kurdistan Region
ARK News.. Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani received Radu Boutom on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, on the occasion of the conclusion of his tenure as head of the European Union Office in the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, President Barzani expressed his appreciation for Boutom’s efforts in strengthening relations between the European Union and the Kurdistan Region throughout his term, wishing him success in his future responsibilities.
For his part, Boutom thanked President Barzani and the relevant institutions of the Kurdistan Region for the support and cooperation he received during his assignment. He reaffirmed the European Union's commitment to further enhancing its relations and expanding mutual cooperation with the Kurdistan Region.
