Masrour Barzani Receives Chinese Consul General to the Kurdistan Region
ARK News.. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received Liu Jun, Consul General of the People's Republic of China to the Kurdistan Region, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the overall situation in Iraq, as well as the wars and regional tensions, stressing the importance of safeguarding the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region and preserving peace and stability across Iraq and the wider region.
They also agreed on the need to reactivate the Kurdistan Parliament and begin the formation of the new cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and expanding bilateral relations across various fields.
