A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Representation of the KNC meets with the Mayor of Erbil

ARK News.. A delegation from the Kurdistan Regional Representation of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNC) discussed with the Mayor of Erbil the challenges facing Syrian refugees in Erbil.

The delegation from the Relations Committee of the Kurdistan Regional Representation of KNC, headed by Jadaan Ali, Head of the Representation, on Thursday, September 5, 2024, visited the Mayor of Erbil, Nabaz Abdul Hamid.

During the meeting, the challenges facing Syrian refugees in Erbil were discussed, and proposals were presented by the delegation of the Representation, and how to solve these challenges to alleviate the suffering of refugees.

For his part, Nabaz Abdul Hamid stressed that the Syrian Kurds are the owners of the homes and not guests, and we will take these proposals into consideration and coordinate with the relevant authorities in order to solve them.

The Mayor of Erbil thanked the delegation of the Representation for the visit and interest in the problems of refugees, and stressed the need to continue meetings between them to serve our Syrian Kurdish brothers who are in their homes and on their land.

The delegation of the Representation also expressed its gratitude to the Mayor of Erbil for his cooperation and continuous service towards the citizens of Erbil, refugees, displaced persons and others without discrimination.
