Russia Plans to Supply Iran with 90 Helicopter Missile Launchers
ARK News.. Leaked documents from Russia’s defense industry indicate that Moscow has arranged to supply Iran with 90 advanced launchers for guided missiles fired from helicopters.
According to the British newspaper The Guardian on Thursday, the documents were obtained by the Ukrainian private intelligence firm Dallas Analytics, which shared them with the newspaper. They detail plans to supply launchers for LMUR guided missiles, which are fired from attack helicopters and have been widely used by Russian forces against Ukrainian targets since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
The documents show that a production schedule prepared in May 2024 by Vympel, a company specializing in the design of missiles and their launch systems, included an order for 90 launchers under an export contract identified by the code “K-10.” Deliveries were scheduled between late 2024 and December 2025. Separate internal documents explicitly identify Iran as the intended recipient under that code.
The records do not establish whether the launchers were actually delivered to Iran. However, a separate production schedule listing six Yak-130 jet trainer aircraft designated for Iran in 2023 is consistent with previous reports that the aircraft had been delivered.
