Syrian Embassy Issues New Syrian Embassy Issues New Instructions for Syrians Residing in Egypt

ARK News.. The Syrian Embassy in Cairo has issued new instructions for members of the Syrian community residing in Egypt, thanking them for their continued compliance with Egyptian laws and regulations and their commitment to respecting them.

The embassy called on Syrians to continue adhering to the relevant guidelines, regularly check the validity of their official identification documents, and carry them at all times. It also urged them to obtain information about consular procedures and residency matters exclusively from approved official sources and to avoid relying on rumors.

The embassy also clarified that eligible students who meet the approved requirements will be issued an exceptional passport on a one-time basis, in accordance with applicable consular regulations and procedures.

It further stated that travel documents issued for the purpose of returning to Syria would be provided exclusively by the embassy. It stressed that such a document does not constitute proof of identity or serve as a substitute for a passport, and cannot be renewed after its expiry.

The new instructions follow a series of recent meetings between Egyptian and Syrian officials to discuss technical proposals aimed at facilitating residency procedures and improving consular and legal coordination through the Syrian Embassy in Cairo for Syrians residing in Egypt
