ARK News… Vegetable and fruit markets in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan are witnessing a crazy rise in prices during the holy month of Ramadan, which has burdened citizens and increased their suffering.

Citizens told ARK News that food prices rose significantly with the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, as the price of a kilo of red meat (cow - sheep) reached about 160,000 Syrian pounds, and the price of a kilo of broiler meat reached 37,000 Syrian pounds.

Citizens stressed that merchants, instead of taking into account the economic and living conditions of citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, took advantage of the month to raise prices, and did not take into account the sanctity of this holy month.
