Turkish Hatay declares its border with Syria as security sites

ARK News: The southern province of Hatay issued an official statement confirming that all the border areas in the state on the border with Syria are considered security zones for 15 days without explaining the reason for the decision.

The statement said that the resolution will be implemented on Wednesday 14 - 11 - 2018 starting from 8 am and ending after 15 days from this date, on 28 - 11 - 2018.

The statement stressed the prohibition on the entry and exit of citizens to areas that are considered security zone for non-residents.

The statement also stressed that journalists were not allowed to enter for interviews, publishing, broadcasting or other such areas, with no vehicle or person allowed to pass through the security areas without official permission from the Turkish authorities.

The border areas witnessed, yesterday Tuesday the spread of elements of Turkish police, and the increase in the number of security and police patrols were observed in the Turkish city of Rihaniyah, in addition to the tightening and spread of police and gendarmerie barriers on the main roads in the state.
