ARK News: Most of the olive presses and Bereen and soap factories subjected to looting and armed robbery after the seizure of Afrin region by the Turkish army and armed groups and factions in March 18.

The number of olive presses in the entire Afrin region is estimated at (250) presses, 158 of old olive presses with low production capacity of 80 / bags to / 250 / bags during 8 working hours, and 92 modern olive presses with a large production capacity up to / 500 / bags during / 8 / working hours

The number of working olive presses in this season is / 191 / presses, distributed in the Afrin region as follows:

The center of Afrin city: / 17 / presses, currently working are only / 7 / presses which subjected to robbery and armed robbery.
Jenderes town: /37 / presses are currently working presses and / 6 / presses were subjected to looting and armed robbery.
Shiye town: /18 / presses are currently working and 2 presses subjected to looting and armed robbery.
Rajo town: /19 / presses are currently working and /8 / presses subjected to looting and armed robbery.
Mabata town:/ 21 / presses are currently working and / 6 / presses subjected to looting and armed robbery.
Bulbul town: / 10 / presses are currently working and / 12 / presses subjected to looting and armed robbery.
Shara town: / 24 / presses are currently working and / 4 / presses subjected to looting and armed robbery.
The presses that are currently working, large sections of their machines have exposed to steal

There is no real information about 59 presses, because of the severity of the armed robbery and the influence of the armed factions on them.
Bereen factories: The number Bereen factories in Afrin region reached (18) factories. Only 11 of them are working and 7 of them are suspended from work due to theft, armed robbery and even the factories that are currently operating, the owners have paid large fees to preserve them.

Soap factories: The number of soap factories in the Afrin area reached 10. There is no information about them because the armed factions have prevented anyone from approaching them.

It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish factions, which participated in the occupation of Afrin city, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its rural, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops, the seizure of property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments which lead to the change of Afrin’s region demography.
