The "Interim Government" rejects the flag adopted by the "Rescue" in Idlib

ARK News: The "Syrian Interim Government" rejected the new flag adopted by the "Rescue Government" in the province of Idlib.

In a statement published by the Information Office of the "Interim Government", on Monday, November 12, said that the flag of the revolution is a national symbol and revolutionary, represents the spirit of revolution and the sacrifices made by the Syrian people, and has been agreed upon by all the forces of the civil and military revolution and became a united symbol for all."

The "interim government" stressed that the flag of the revolution is the flag adopted by all its civil and military institutions.

The work of the "interim government" in the province of Idlib was curtailed after “Hayat Tahrir A-Sham” took control of the region and announcing the formation of the "Rescue Government" accused of directly following the latter.

According to the decision of the "Rescue", the new flag consists of four colors, a mixture between the flag of the Syrian revolution and the Islamic banner.

Its adoption came in accordance with a decision issued by the Constituent Assembly, and said in it, “one flag and banner in the liberated areas is composed of four colors, the green color from the top and the white in the center and the black below”.

The Constituent Assembly added that it should be written on the white in the center in red, the words “No God but Allah, Mohammad is the Messenger of Allah”.

This step comes with the entry into force of the Idlib agreement signed between Russia and Turkey, which established a buffer zone between the regions of the Syrian regime and the opposition, which to be directed in the coming days, to opening the international roads and the formation of a civil administration for the region.

In recent years, the flag of revolution has turned into an "issue" in the province of Idlib whose owners have been arrested against the backdrop of the intransigence of factions of the Islamic factions to raise their flag only.

The flag constitutes a” symbolic" for the defenders to be raised as the first flag raised in the peace movement in early 2011, to distinguish between the popular demonstrations against Assad and the rallies in support of him.
