Afrin … An official of al-Nukhba faction meets with villagers

ARK News: Col. Abu Omar, the leader of al-Nukhba faction, held yesterday two separate meetings in the villages of Zytunake and Omer Simo of Shara town Afrin Kurdistan, Syria with the residents of the two villages, during the meeting, he urged and blessed them with the olive season, and he also directed his instructed with this regard to the families and the armed factions controlling the area and surrounding villages especially his speech directed to elements’ factions who committed violations and looting and vowed to reduce these violations and not to repeat them.

Abo Omar added saying: “The factions are not entitled to take over civilians ‘property, but whether the people on their own give them some of the olive oil for domestic consumption, this is up to the citizens themselves”, however, the elements in al-Nukhba faction who control the two villages have another opinion for his talks, according to the villagers opinions.

“Since the beginning of the olive season and until today, the elements of that faction have harvested more than 25,000 olive trees belonging to the people who are existed and non-existed in their villages and there are still villagers’ crops in front of the olive press about (500 – 700 olive bags ) which locates between the villages of Omar Simo and Sa’rinjake which are owned by the sons of Anwar Horo and Idrees Horo, and they were taken over these olive bags through looting by force,” according to villagers.

On the other hand, the Local Council in Shara town, with the consent of the Turkish forces, appointed Mr. Waleed Willo as an elected member (Mokhtar) of Omer Simo's village for issuing necessary papers and permits for the residents in terms of delivering their properties and harvesting their crops and plowing their lands. However, the militias of al-Nukhba faction did not recognize his appointing and appointed another person instead of him who is Fawzi Simo under the conditional agreement between the two sides on the basis of harvesting crops to belong to brothers of Fawzi fully divided between the faction elements and the Mokhtar Fawzi 50% each.

“There were disagreements and verbal arguments between the elements of al-Nukhba faction and elements of Liwaa Suqore al-Shamal in that meeting regarding the harvest of the olive harvest belonging to the people of the village of Marsawa, which is located within the faction of al-Nukhba sector to harvest the olive crop in their favor”, according to villagers’ statements.

It is noteworthy that the pro-Turkish factions, which participated in the occupation of Afrin city, committed dozens of crimes against the people of the city and its rural, killing, kidnapping and torture, along with looting and theft, burning agricultural crops, the seizure of property of citizens, and the destruction of monuments which lead to the change of Afrin’s region demography.
