Helen Omid: We obstructed the plan to establish a region in Syrian Kurdistan

ARK News... Member of the Central Committee of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and spokeswoman for the party, Helen Omid, revealed that they obstructed the implementation of an American plan to establish a region like the Kurdistan Region in Syrian Kurdistan.

During her participation in a special program on the PKK-affiliated Media News channel, Helen Omid said, "If the Kurdistan Workers' Party had not existed, the United States would have benefited from the situation in western Kurdistan and formed a region like the Kurdistan Region."

She explained, "According to the American plan, even if a western Kurdistan region is implemented, it will be linked to the Kurdistan Region, but according to her expression, they, as the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), opposed this project and obstructed the American plan."

It is noteworthy that since PKK took control of the cities of Syrian Kurdistan, it handed over both Afrin and its towns and villages, as well as the cities of Serê Kaniyê and Girê Spî to Turkey, and it is still continuing to hand over the remaining cities to Turkey, and emptying Syrian Kurdistan of the Kurds.
