ARK News: The head of the Office of Foreign Relations in the Kurdish National Council in Syria, Kamiran Hajo stated that they will demand a federal system for Syria and install it in the new constitution.
In a special statement to ARK News, Hajo said that the process of writing the constitution has not begun in practice yet, because it faces several difficulties. Both the regime and the opposition presented its list. De Mistura also has a list, but the regime does not accept the list of De Mistura.

Hajo added that the regime has conditions, including changing the names on the list of De Mistura and the introducing close figures to him in the list of the De Mistura, so that the balance of the Constitutional Committee tends to favor him, the regime also stipulates that the Chairman of the Committee from its list, and to convene meetings of the Constitution-Writing Committee in Syria and not abroad, these reasons prompted de Mistura to resign.

As for the role and demands of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in the new constitution, Hajo stressed that writing the Constitution is one of the most important steps, and if the rights of Kurds install in the new constitution, it will be a great gain for the Kurdish people in Syria.

Hajo revealed that they are calling for federalism for Syria in the new constitution, saying: "But we do not know whether this will be achieved or not. This is linked to the vision of the international powers that manage the Syrian file, but we will try to achieve federalism, if it will not be done, we have at least fixing the national and political rights in the new constitution of Syria. "

The Kurdish National Council in Syria has representatives on the opposition list through the National Coalition of the Syrian Opposition and also as an independent entity in the negotiating body, in addition to the presence of Kurdish figures in the list of civil society and the list of advisers.
