Turkey: Joint patrols of Turkish and US troops in Manbij begin soon

ARK News: Turkish Defense Minister, Khalosi Akar announced that the joint patrols of Turkish and US forces in Manbij city in the rural of Aleppo will begin soon after ending the joint exercises.

Akar, in comments quoted by the agency "Anatolia" Turkish, on Wednesday said: " The Joint patrols of Turkish and US forces in Manbij will begin shortly after ending the joint exercises."

He added: "We need to prepare and conduct training of Turkish and US military elements in the framework of joint patrols. This phase began on 9 October and is still ongoing in Gaziantep."

Turkish Foreign Minister, Mawloud Chawish Oglu said earlier that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan informed US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo that Turkey could easily take out the YPG militants from Manbij if the United States did not do so.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mouloud Chawish Oglu said earlier that any procrastination by the side of US on the Syrian Manbij issue will restore the roadmap agreed between the two sides, a step backward.

Chawish Oglu addressed American during a press conference "Either you clean up Manbij city by yourselves or we do it, pointing that he will discuss with his American counterpart, Mike Pompeo, bilateral relations and issues of importance to Ankara.”

Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the United States not to adhere to the timetable which agreed between Ankara and Washington for the withdrawal of the "YPG" from Manbij city in the rural of Aleppo.
