Appreciation greetings

We are pleased in the Executive Office of the Assyrian Democratic Organization to extend to you and all the Kurdish people in Syria our best congratulations on the occasion of the sixty-fourth anniversary of the founding of your friendly party, the Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, which was the first Kurdish party among the Kurdish people in Syria. We wish you continued progress and success, and the friendly Kurdish people achieve their legitimate aspirations nationally.

The simultaneity between the founding of the first Kurdish party in Syria as the first political expression of the aspirations of the Syrian Kurds, with the founding of the Assyrian Democratic Organization as the first political expression of the aspirations of the Assyrian Syriacs in Syria, came to put an end to the state of chronic denial of the reality of national diversity in Syria, and the need to resolve this issue a national and democratic solution based on the necessity of constitutional recognition of the identity and rights of the Kurdish and Syriac-Assyrian peoples and all nationalities within the framework of the country's unity.

The Syrian revolution for freedom and dignity, despite the tragedies and calamities that have befallen the Syrians over the past years, has revived hopes for a real democratic change that responds to the aspirations of Syrians in general, and of the Kurds and Assyrians in particular, to recognize their identity and guarantee all their rights on the basis of equality and partnership with all components. To achieve this, we see a need to intensify cooperation and integration among us in order to consolidate the values of coexistence and preserve civil peace, by developing our bilateral alliance and upgrading the role of the Peace and Freedom Front, and strengthening joint work with the frameworks of the national opposition in order to advance the process of a political solution in accordance with Security Council Resolution 5522 in order to achieve the political transition from a system of tyranny to a secular democratic system based on the foundations of justice, equality, democracy and partnership among all Syrians.
