When the Kurdish media lacks professionalism... Rudaw as a model
ARK News.. Credibility in the media is considered one of the most basic pillars, to work as a media institution that the public trusts and listens to, and to be a reference to any news that it wants to verify, and this is what the Rudaw Satellite Channel missed by fabricating false news about the Kurdish National Council in Syria.
Two days ago, Rudaw Satellite Channel published a news with the broad title, stating that the Kurdish National Council in Syria withdrew from the National Coalition for the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, and it was not satisfied with that, but fabricated another news, in which it confirmed that the Kurdish National Council will transfer its headquarters and offices from Turkey to Saudi Arabia or Egypt .
For its part, the presidency of the Kurdish National Council in Syria denounced what Rudaw fabricated by an official statement issued by it, confirming that what Rudaw Satellite Channel mentioned about the withdrawal from the National Coalition for the Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces, and the transfer of headquarters from Turkey, is far from the truth, and the content of the news is fabricated altogether.
It is clear that the distinguished channel of Rudaw heard the phrase "scoop", where it was creative in its application, it is always the forerunner in reporting news, but those that lack credibility, and the word credibility may be deleted in the principles and media approaches adopted by the respected Kurdish channel.
Rudaw Media Channel published the statement of the ENKS in which the council lied the Rudaw channel, but this time it changed the main headline of the news by saying, the council is lying to withdraw from the coalition, without mentioning the source of the fabricated news and its publisher, and the channel did not mention the ENKS statement in detail, which begins to deny the news of Rudaw.
Here it becomes clear to the public that these false concoctions do not come from a vacuum, but rather from a work that is far from the approach and concept of the real media, its fundamentals and the ways to follow the correct lines. Perhaps the Rudaw Satellite Channel wanted this news to reach the largest possible number of the audience without paying attention to the rules of credibility in reporting the news.
It must be asked here, have the personalities and media channels become trumpets for certain parties at the expense of professionalism, truth and credibility in the media?
