Interior Minister: Kurdistan Region Extends Lockdown until April 10

ARK NEWS.. The Kurdistan Regional Government, today Tuesday, March 31, 2020, extended the general lockdown across the region for another 10 days.
Interior Minister Rebar Ahmad said during a press conference in Erbil that the lockdown is extend until April 10 in hopes of fully containing the spread of the new coronavirus.
He noted that the measures introduced by the KRG have so far proven effective.
On March 13, KRG ordered a traffic ban which was followed by a general lockdown across the region as part of its plans to fight the spread of the pandemic disease.
