Israel Targets Hezbollah’s Second-in-Command in Beirut Strike
ARK News.. The Israeli army announced that it has targeted a senior Hezbollah commander in an airstrike on Haret Hireik in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
An Israeli military spokesperson stated that the army "recently targeted a prominent Hezbollah operative in Beirut."
According to Lebanese reports, the strike hit a residential apartment on Al-Arid Street in Haret Hireik, with ambulances rushing to the scene.
Israel’s Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the intended target of the Beirut southern suburb strike was Hezbollah’s second-in-command, Abu Ali al-Tabatabai.
Al-Tabatabai is a prominent and elusive Hezbollah figure who was designated as a global terrorist by the United States in 2016. He is considered a key military commander within the group and has previously overseen Hezbollah forces in Syria and Yemen.
