Baghdad to Host Syria–Iraq–Turkey Trilateral Meeting
ARK News.. Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, is set to host a high-level trilateral meeting in the coming days, bringing together the foreign ministers of Syria, Iraq, and Turkey to discuss joint political, security, and economic issues.
According to Asharq Al-Awsat, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan will travel to Baghdad as part of an ongoing diplomatic track, following previous technical meetings held in each of the three countries.
The meeting aims to strengthen coordination across multiple sectors, with a particular focus on regional security and economic cooperation. Sources indicate that discussions will center on developing a joint economic strategy through formal agreements and protocols, as well as formulating a political vision to support regional stability.
The ministers are also expected to reaffirm commitments to mutual respect for sovereignty, non-interference in internal affairs, and principles of good neighborly relations.
