The killing of Muhammad Baraa Al-Qatirji, one of the most important businessmen

ARK News.. Syrian media sources revealed that one of the warlords close to the Syrian regime was killed in an Israeli air strike on the Syrian-Lebanese border.

The Syria TV website, on Monday, July 15, 2024, said that Muhammad Baraa Al-Qatirji was killed with his companions in the car on the Syrian-Lebanese border after it was targeted by a missile that was likely Israeli.

For its part, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, “An Israeli drone targeted a car in which Baraa Al-Qatirji was traveling in the Al-Saboura area in the Damascus countryside, which led to his death along with another person who was with him.”

Muhammad Baraa Al-Qatirji is considered one of the most important businessmen affiliated with Bashar Al-Assad’s regime and runs an economic empire that benefits Al-Assad’s militants. Al-Qatirji has an extensive network of relations with Iranian militias and the Lebanese Hezbollah militia.

Washington included Muhammad Baraa Al-Qatirji on the sanctions list in September 2018 on charges of brokering suspicious oil deals between the Syrian regime and ISIS, taking advantage of his company, “Arvada Petroleum,” which he founded in 2018.
