Afrin... A father wanted to save his child, so the two sank together
ARK News: After trying to save his child from drowning in one of the rivers of the Kurdish villages of Afrin, the two (the father with the son) lost their lives by drowning, and the search for their bodies is still ongoing.
A private source told ARK Media Foundation that the 5-year-old Roni lost his life a few days ago by drowning in the Tal Sillor River in the Jenderes township. His father, Mohamed Izzat Shabab, tried to save his child, but the attempt failed and the two sank together.
The civil defense teams (White Helmets) said that the current was strong, with which the child and his father were taken, without keeping an impact on them, despite the attempts of the diving team to extract them, but to no avail, due to the severity of the current, which they strongly pulled.
The young man, Mohamed Izzat Shabab, hails from the village of “Dela”, of the Mabata township, and although a few days have passed since the accident, the search for their bodies is ongoing, according to informed sources.
