ARK News.. Four civilians, including a man, two women, and a child, were killed, and a young girl was injured on Thursday when remnants of war exploded inside a residential home in the town of Nairab, eastern Idlib. All victims belonged to the same family.

The Syrian Civil Defense (White Helmets) reported that the death toll is not yet final, as specialized teams continue search and rescue operations amid the extensive destruction caused by the explosion.

Simultaneously, civil defense teams disposed of several unexploded ordnances left over from former regime shelling in Aleppo city and Saraqeb in eastern Idlib, as part of ongoing efforts to remove threats to civilian lives.

The international organization Handicap International warned that approximately 15 million Syrians are at risk from 100,000 to 300,000 unexploded munitions scattered across the country, calling the situation a "catastrophe in every sense of the word."

The organization explained that around one million explosive devices were used during the conflict, with a significant portion still posing a deadly threat to civilians.
