Saudi Arabia and Turkey to Discuss Strengthening Cooperation on the Syrian File
ARK News.. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to visit Saudi Arabia on an official trip aimed at bolstering cooperation on the Syrian issue, alongside discussions on other regional and international matters.
According to Turkey’s Anadolu Agency, diplomatic sources revealed that Fidan will visit Saudi Arabia tomorrow, Tuesday, January 28, 2025. During his meetings, he is expected to emphasize the importance of enhancing international engagement with Syria’s new administration.
The sources also noted that Fidan will call for coordinated efforts with Riyadh to lift sanctions imposed on Syria, aiming to support stability and reconstruction efforts in the region.
This visit underscores the growing collaboration between Ankara and Riyadh on critical Middle Eastern issues.
