ARK News.. In conjunction with the continuing fuel crisis in the cities and towns of Syrian Kurdistan, the Syrian Democratic Forces continue to supply the armed factions with oil and gas.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights published a video clip showing “trucks loaded with gas from the areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces” through the Umm Jaloud crossing in the Manbij countryside to the areas of the armed factions affiliated with the National Army.

Dozens of tankers belonging to the Al-Qatirji Company, coming from areas controlled by the Syrian regime, on Wednesday, May 23, 2024, crossed into the city of Hasaka in Syrian Kurdistan to transport crude oil from areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces to areas controlled by the Syrian regime.

A private source told ARK News earlier that the PYD administration signed an agreement in December 2023 with the Syrian regime, the content of which was to support the Syrian regime with “320” diesel tanks per day, equivalent to (93%) of the PYD administration’s share, and the agreement, immediately after signing, entered into force.

According to the source, the PYD administration remains with a share (7%) of the diesel produced in the oil fields under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and sells it on the black market at high prices.

The "Syrian Democratic Forces" control the most important oil and gas fields in the region, and among these fields are "Rmelan and al-Suwaydiya" in the Derik countryside, and "Al-Shaddadi and Al-Jubsse" in the Hasaka countryside, in addition to the "Al-Omar and Al-Tanak" fields in Deir Ez-Zour.
