The Head of the Kurdish National Council Receives the Head of the KNC’s Scandinavian Countries Representation
ARK News.. Mohammed Ismail, President of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria, received on Sunday, June 7, 2026, Abdul Baqi Youssef, Head of the KNC Representation in the Scandinavian Countries and a member of the leadership body of the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party, at the council’s headquarters in Qamishli.
The meeting was attended by members of the KNC Presidency Body and a number of senior party officials.
Discussions focused on current political developments, the role of Kurdish communities in Europe in supporting the Kurdish cause and advocating for the rights of the Kurdish people, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation between the council’s representations abroad and its various institutions.
The participants emphasized the importance of maintaining consultation and coordination efforts in a manner that serves the aspirations of the Kurdish people and enhances the political and diplomatic presence of the Kurdish National Council at both regional and international levels.
