ARK News… An American newspaper revealed that Iran is working to flood the West Bank of Israel with weapons through a secret smuggling route that passes through Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.

The New York Times said that Iran smuggles weapons to the West Bank via a secret route that passes through Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan, and employs intelligence agents, gunmen, and criminal gangs to deliver weapons to the Palestinians in the West Bank.

According to the American newspaper, Iran's main goal of arms smuggling is to "stir up unrest against Israel by flooding the Gaza Strip with the largest possible number of weapons."

According to the newspaper, officials confirmed that many of the weapons smuggled into the West Bank move through two routes from Iran via Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel.

The officials added that as weapons cross borders, they move between a group that can include members of organized gangs, militants, soldiers and intelligence agents.

Iranian officials and analysts said the main group in the operation are Bedouin smugglers who carry weapons across the border from Jordan into Israel.
