Pentagon: America will send hundreds of soldiers to the Middle East
ARK News… The US Department of Defense. on Tuesday announced that the United States will send 300 additional soldiers to the Middle East, whose primary mission is to provide support in areas including dismantling explosive devices and communications.
Pentagon spokesman, General Patrick Ryder, said that the forces will depart from the United States but will not head to Israel.
Ryder added: “Its goal is to support deterrence efforts in the region and enhance the capabilities of protecting American forces.”
On October 26, the Pentagon announced that about 900 additional American forces had arrived in the Middle East or were on their way there, to strengthen air defenses in order to protect American soldiers in light of the escalation of attacks in the region from pro-Iranian militias.
During the past years, coalition bases in Syria and Iraq were subjected to several attacks by drones and missiles, in which the international coalition forces accused Iranian militias of being behind them.
