Opening of a Kurdish language school in the capital of Austria

ARK News… A Kurdish language school has been opened in Vienna, Austria, with the aim of providing more Kurdish language services, while Kurdish children living in Vienna are taught their mother tongue.

Kurdistan media sources said that the school consists of three classes and is located in the city of Vienna, Austria. One class is designated for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years, the second class is for students over the age of 12 years, and the third class is for those who want to learn the “Kurmancî” dialect.

The media sources added: The school operates one day a week and teaches for five hours, and that the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representation in Austria will provide books to the school.

Zala Sherwani, the owner of the school, said that the goal of opening the school is to serve the mother language through this project and introduce Kurdish children living in Austria to the Kurdish language.
