ARK News… U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, Barbara Leaf, confirmed that the Kurdistan Region is an integral part of our comprehensive relations with Iraq.
This came during a meeting between Lev and the Minister of Interior of Kurdistan, Rebar Ahmed, during a visit by the latter to Washington, during which he met with senior officials of the US administration.
The US Assistant Secretary of State tweeted: The Kurdistan Regional Government is an integral part of our comprehensive relations with Iraq.
She added: I am grateful for the visit of Interior Minister Rebar Ahmed and the opportunity to discuss human rights issues and important developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the region.
