ARK News… A delegation from the al- Gharbi Neighborhood Local Council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria visited the offices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria and the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party after they were burned by PYD militants in the city of Qamishlo in Syrian Kurdistan.

During the visit that took place on Saturday, April 27, 2024, the delegation inspected the two offices and their contents, condemning this systematic action against the parties of the Kurdish National Council, adding that such practices raise concerns among the people of Syrian Kurdistan and destabilize them.

Late on the night of Tuesday - Wednesday, April 23 - 24, PYD militants burned the eastern office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria and the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party in the city of Qamishlo, Syrian Kurdistan.

During their attack, PYD militants burned the properties located in the eastern office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria and the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party.

The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria condemned the attacks and burning of the offices of the Council’s parties, calling on “international human rights organizations and the international coalition, led by the United States of America, to take the necessary measures to stop these attacks, which increase the state of tension, tension, and instability.”

For its part, the US Embassy in Syria said on its official page on the Facebook platform, on Thursday, April 25: “We condemn the burning of the offices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party in Qamishli.” Stressing that "the attacks on political offices and parties in northern Syria must stop, and those responsible must be held accountable."

The US embassy urged "all parties to engage in meaningful discourse to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people without violence."
