ARK News… The General Directorate of Meteorology in Syria warned of the formation of torrential rains in valleys and slopes, heavy rains, thunderstorms, and fast winds.

The directorate said on its Facebook account, “The weather event begins on Saturday evening, when rainfall is heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms and hailstones at times, and activity in the speed of the descending winds from cumulus clouds formed with surface winds, which raises dust, especially in the dry areas.”

The General Directorate of Meteorology added, "The state of instability will begin in the southern and southeastern regions, and gradually extend to the rest of the regions and increase over the next Tuesday and Wednesday, amid warnings of torrential rains forming on the slopes and valleys."

According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, “the weather activity will weaken on Thursday, and will continue in the coastal areas and the island.”

According to the directorate, the weather will be dusty in the eastern regions, the island, and the northeastern regions on Monday and Tuesday as a result of active southeasterly wind speeds, with gusts reaching 70 km/h, with high humidity.
