The Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria commemorates the 66th anniversary of its founding in the town of Girke Lage

ARK News… The Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria, on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, celebrated the sixty-sixth anniversary of its birth in the city of Girke Lage, which is affiliated with the city of Derik, in Syrian Kurdistan.

The commemoration ceremony took place in the office of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, in the presence of party members from the "Girke Lage - Chil Agha" organization, a group of writers and poets, the local councils of the Kurdish Council and representatives of the Kurdish movement parties in the town of Girke Lage.

The party's speech was delivered by Junaid Majeed, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, in which he shed light on the history of the party since its establishment, the political conditions that preceded the establishment, and the first founders of the party.

On June 14, 1957, a group of Kurdish intellectuals and politicians (Osman Sabri, Hamza Nuweran, Abdel Hamid Darwish, Rashid Hamo, Shawkat Hanan, Khalil Muhammad, Muhammad Ali Khoja, Sheikh Muhammad Isa) took the initiative to establish the first Kurdish political party in Syria, which is the party Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria.
