ARK News… The Syrian National Coalition considered receiving the President of the regime, Bashar al-Assad, to attend the Arab summit, as a reward for him for the crimes he has committed against the Syrian people, and disregarding the sacrifices of the Syrians for more than 12 years, and forgetting the victims who await justice, and abandoning the revolutionary Syrian people who demand freedom.

The coalition said in a statement, "Great Syria is not represented by the criminal Assad, and that the presence of the criminal regime in Syria's seat in the Arab League means that Iran is attending the summit through its delegate, the bearer of its agenda, and one of its tools in implementing its vengeful expansion project in the Arab countries."

He added, "The excuse for giving the Assad regime a chance is a waste of time and procrastination that will only lead to more killings, arrests, and tragedy because the Assad regime has a wide record of deceit, lies, and obstruction of any political process related to Syria."

He stressed that "it is unacceptable for some countries to view this criminal regime as a legitimate regime after it has committed hundreds of thousands of war crimes and crimes against humanity against the Syrian people, just as it is well known that this regime is nothing but a puppet in the hands of Russia and the mullahs' regime that they run according to their interests, positions and will." In exchange for what they gave him of killing Syrians and supporting his military machine.

The coalition statement concluded that the Syrian people "will not give up their aspirations for freedom and independence, even if they remain alone, and will continue their revolution and rise up against Assad until the expected freedom is wrested, justice is achieved, and a democratic Syria is built. Actual for the implementation of international resolutions related to Syria, especially Resolution 2254.
