Dr. Abdul Rahman Khalil to ARK: Three Turkish conditions for normalization with the regime, in exchange for ten for the latter

ARK News... The Kurdish politician, Dr. Abdul Rahman Khalil, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, said that Turkey has three conditions in exchange for normalization with the Syrian regime, while the regime has ten conditions in exchange for holding meetings and reaching common understandings.

The Kurdish politician summarized the Turkish conditions in three points:
1- Fighting terrorism and the PKK together
2- Extending the text of the Adana Agreement from 5 km to 35 km.
3- Returning the Syrian refugees in Turkey to Syria and relocating them within the border area of 35 km.

While the ten conditions of the regime are summed up as handing over all areas controlled by Turkey, stopping extending a hand of aid to the groups present in Idlib, handing over the M4 road, stopping extending aid to the opposition, handing over border crossings such as Bab al-Salam and others, in addition to other points related to military matters. The important thing remains to stop the groups in Idlib and the opposition, according to the politician.

During his participation in the ARK newsletter, he stressed that the two sides are protesting against the other, but the Iranian factor remains an obstacle to this project, and America does not allow easy normalization with the regime.

He pointed out that the meetings are inevitable, and it is possible that the Turkish foreign ministers and the Syrian regime will meet in the coming days, after which there will be meetings between the Turkish president and the head of the Syrian regime.

At the end of his speech, he said that the victims of this normalization are the Syrian people and the opposition, because the opposition, in both its political and military parts, has sold itself and has become a tool for implementing agendas, and the Kurdish people remain the most harmed by this normalization because of the tragedies and new disasters it will bear.
