The Republican Party announces the restoration of control of the US House of Representatives
ARK News… US House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has expressed confidence that his party will wrest control of the House from Democrats led by President Joe Biden after the midterm elections.
"It's clear we're going to get the House back," McCarthy said in a speech in the middle of a tense election night in which vote counting was underway after preliminary results showed Republicans were on the verge of securing enough seats to take control of the House, albeit likely with a majority, less than expected.
"When you wake up tomorrow, we will be the majority, and (House Speaker, Democratic Majority Leader) Nancy Pelosi (will be) the minority," McCarthy added.
Fox channel forecast indicated that the Republicans would win 192 seats in the US House of Representatives, compared to 164 in the Democrats.
