Recently, the villages of Jiqla, Birka, Ashka Sharqi, and Khulalka witnessed the return of a number of families from Aleppo, Lebanon, and Turkey, according to a particular source who told ARK today, October 6, 2022.
While the armed factions continue their violations against the Kurdish citizens, they have imposed new taxes on the owners of olive presses.
A private source confirmed that with the beginning of the olive season, the militia of Al-Amshat began imposing a tax of $1,000 on the owners of olive presses in the Sheikh town and its affiliated villages.
The armed factions, since 2018, have committed hundreds of violations against the Kurdish citizens in Afrin, including kidnappings, arrests, cutting down fruit and forest trees, and imposing taxes.
