Pederson calls for joining efforts to combat the Coronavirus in Syria
ARK News.. UN Secretary-General for Syria, Geir Pederson, called for a ceasefire in Syria at the national level and for united efforts to combat the Covid-19 virus.
The Pederson, on Tuesday, said in a statement: "The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guterres, on Tuesday appealed to the warring parties in the world to implement an immediate ceasefire in order to allow the international community to deal with the common enemy of the Covid-19 virus."
He added saying: "Today, I specifically call for a full and immediate cease-fire at the national level in Syria to enable a comprehensive effort to eliminate the Covid 19 virus in Syria”.
