Kurdish National Council condemns the shelling of civilians in Idlib

ARK News: The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, on Sunday, December 22, 2019, issued a statement on the shelling of civilians in Idlib, where it condemned the military operations and called for an end to this "massacre."
Statement text:

Idlib region has been exposed to violent attacks and shelling by the regime and its allies since the month of April, in order to combat the terrorist al-Nusra Front, but recently, after the last round of meeting with the guarantors of the de-escalation agreement in Astana, the frequency of the shelling increased to reach unarmed civilians, where large numbers of victims were killed from children, women, and elderly, where tens of thousands have been displaced to different areas

We, in the Kurdish National Council in Syria, are condemn the shelling of civilian housing areas, and we condemn the militants who use civilians as human shields, we appeal to all relevant regional and international parties to injecting of blood and stopping this massacre against the civilian population in Idlib, to allowing the entry of humanitarian aid to the displaced and affected people there, and working towards a political treatment of avoiding people from the scourge of destruction and displacement.

We also call on the international community to expedite the creation of a political solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
