An officer in the regime: "We consider SDF a threat to us and the inevitable clash between us."
ARK News: In recent times, the differences between the Syrian regime and the leaders of the Syrian Democratic Forces have escalated, in light of the Russian inability to achieve any rapprochement between the two parties and the regime's insistence on SDF’s dissolution for itself.
According to familiar sources with the conduct of the dialogues between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Syrian regime, the differences have become more acute between the two parties, especially after the agreement to deploy units of the regime at some border points with Turkey after the Turkish operation of the Sari Kaniye and Gire Spi areas. Both the regime and Russia were aiming to control oil wells and gas fields, but the redeployment of American forces in the oil regions changed the equation.
The Syrian regime fears the rapprochement between the Syrian Democratic Forces the SDF and Russia in light of the regime's fears that the "SDF" will grant some economic privileges in its regions to the Russians, and thus the Russians depend on the SDF in some tasks and a retreat in Russia's policy towards the regime.
An officer in the Syrian General Staff Command told BasNews that the leadership views "suspiciously" the rapprochement between SDF and Russia, and added, "the SDF is a real danger to Syria, not because we see it as a separatist, so this matter does not concern us, but its danger lies in that It is being proposed by the allies as an alternative to the Syrian military. ”
The Syrian regime had recently proposed dissolving the SDF and including its fighters in the ranks of the regime, in exchange for the regime allowing the teaching of the Kurdish language in private schools without government ones.
The Syrian Ministry of Education had announced earlier its categorical refusal to teach the Kurdish language in public schools.
The officer pointed out, that "the Kurdish military formations are more dangerous to the Syrian state than the Al-Nusra Front and the Free Army, because SDF, and unlike the two organizations, managed to attract forces from all the components to its side until it was able to attract Alwais who represent power."
The officer made clear saying: "If we do not agree, the clash between us and them (SDF) is inevitably coming, but we are currently working to attract the largest number of Arab tribes to our side, and therefore the visit of the master was owned by Qamishlo to ask the sons of the tribes to leave the ranks of SDF ."
Observers affirm that the SDF needs a process of restructuring and uniting with the Roj Peshmerga forces (fighters from Syrian Kurdistan currently present in the Kurdistan Region) and the Kurdish National Council in order to be able to impose itself as a legitimate military institution.
